Even though she is no longer with us, former Solent Suns player Annika Lohneiss wanted to wish everyone the best of luck for the new season! Solent Players off to play in Prague
Five Solent junior players are off to Prague on Wednesday for the Easter Eurobasket Tournament. They will spend 2 days at a training camp in Brandys nad Labem before going on to Prague for the tournament which involves over 150 teams mainly from Eastern Europe. The lucky ladies are :-

Ladies arrive in Northumbria
The team arrived safe and well in Northumbria in this morning (despite a minor accident which was no fault of Mr Fullbrook's) ready for their play off match with Team Northumbria at 2pm, looking for a place in the Final Fours for the 2nd year running.
Added to the squad are three U18 players Megan Jenkins, Flo Ward and Katharine Blake, a late replacement for Bex Standen who had to work.

On Saturday 14th June the sun was shining for the Solent Suns Awards day, it was a great day but a sad day for the club we not only said goodbye to the 2nd teams coach Ollie Jerram who is going back to coaching boys which is where Ollie first started her Basketball Coaching, she will be missed and we all wish Oliie and Gary all the best.
